We started with a warm-up on Creep chords and focussed on timing & counting bars.

Whenever we swayed off the metronome - we started again.
With a pause to count us in mentally, then to verbally count in 1,2,3,4.
Today we looked at the Blues. I decided that the Key of A would be a good start! Why?, because stretching on G (the 3rd fret to the 7th with the pinky) can be a bit difficult for beginners or those with smaller hands.

We looked at different chord shapes, using a capo & most importantly... timing! I made suggestions to each musician, correcting some bad habits, proposing alternative chord positions & learning to listen for the 1st beat, which is stressed/accented on most modern metronomes.

Brian started playing guitar during lockdown. He's been playing rhythm & singing. Now he's having a go at lead. Working that minor pentatonic blues in B.
It's great to see Keith enjoying and refreshing his finger-memory and playing shapes all over the guitar.
